Welcome to a voice never heard.
I am Joe Q. Public. I am an average guy that has some free time on my hands. I considered what I wanted to do with this time and learning to write was one of the first things I thought of. I am going to try post as much as I can. My writing will never get better unless I do it so thanks to Google I am going to start right here with their free blog. As far as I can tell, most of the country is out of touch with reality. I'm sure you heard the politician that was struggling to get by with his four hundred thousand dollar a year paycheck. This is exactly what I am talking about and hence, the name of this blog. I am part of the silent majority and the time is coming shortly when we will be heard.
The class war being fought and won but the rich and powerful has to be talked about. I think there are a lot of people that are unaware of what is going on. All the media outlets in the country, TV, print, radio and all the others are owned by just six companies. They are looking out for their own interests and not the greater good. Journalistic integrity is dead. Politicians are completely owned by Wall st. and the major corporations. The little guy has been losing since I have been paying attention and that was 1980 when we elected that actor.
That is just one of the things I would like to write about. Another is free and open source software. I have an eight year old computer that I run PCLinuxOS on. I have been running some form of linux for the last four years and I would urge everybody to consider it. Anything you can do on a windows or mac box you can do with linux. With the possible exception of high end gaming and I think you can even do that if your willing to get good hardware and spend the time getting it to run. Everything else is easy to do. Give it a try. You can boot both operating systems in the beginning. I did that for about a year and realized that I never used windows anymore so I erased it off my hard drive and have never looked back.
I also read quite a bit. I prefer nonfiction, especially history but I have dabbled in Sci-Fi and fantasy as well. Reading has been a habit if mine for over thirty-five years now so needless to say it is a pretty big part of my life. I wouldn't be surprised if I posted on that a time or two as well.
I don't want to be too long winded on my first post and I don't really expect anybody to read this so I will stop around here. If you do happend to read this you can comment but I really don't expect to check them so if you really needed to get in touch with me you will have to send an email.
